Ventilation flaps succeed in raising 850 kg car Smoke and heat extraction system remains intact under the weight of a car
In a thoroughly unconventional set of tests, the Netherlands based company Brakel has tested the ability of its Eura smoke and heat extraction system to withstand a snow load/weight of 850 kg. The company tested both the quality and load-bearing capacity of the product by firstly driving a car onto it and then, in opening the flaps, by ‘raising’ the car. Prior to the tests being carried out, a number of estimates were made as to what would happen, but whether or not the flaps would actually hold the car in reality was extremely exciting. More info
