New: Safe and high quality roof access hatch
The safe roof access regulations applicable (inter)nationally are becoming increasingly stringent. Our partners are therefore regularly approached with the request that they include such facilities in their assignments for the implementation of fire safety/ventilation equipment.
In view of the increasing regularity of such requests, we proceeded to develop a roof access hatch together with one of our partners, which not only complies with the applicable legislation, but also has a high insulation value. This roof access hatch is the latest addition to our range of smoke & heat discharge (RWA) products.
More stringent legislation
The statutory regulations applicable increasingly focus on the safety aspects of roof access. These measures are designed to adequately vouch for the personal safety of engineers involved in the installation and maintenance of rooftop systems.
Included in building process
As a result, increasing attention is nowadays devoted to roof access by means of a staircase or lift, as part of the building process. The final few metres can therefore be spanned using a fixed staircase, harmonica ladder or an attachable safety ladder. The next stage, however, is to realise actual access to the roof. Our partners are therefore approached on a daily basis with the request that they combine safe roof access with their assignments for the implementation of RWA or ventilation products.
High insulation value
The solution is the Brakel roof access hatch, which we have introduced in response to market demand for hatches which have a higher insulation value and comply with the latest requirements in terms of energy performance. The overall height of the Brakel roof access hatch also enables the addition of an extra 19-cm-thick layer of insulation material.
Roof access hatch now available in addition to our existing SHEV products
If required, Brakel can now supply a roof access hatch with a high insulation value, in addition to our high quality, industrial and architectural SHEV products.
